Shirley A. (O’Neil) Lapre, 92, passed peacefully on January 18, 2025. She is predeceased by Gilbert J. Lapre, to whom she was married for 60 wonderful years. Shirley is survived by her four children, Steven, G. Lapre and Gary J. Lapre and his wife, Lori; Gail A. Lapre and Susan M. Lapre and her companion, Gerald Jeff; three granddaughters, Melanie M. Paquin, and her husband, DJ Paquin; Sheri Lapre and her companion, Evan Gauvin, and Katie Lapre and her fiancé, Mario Travassos, daughters of Steven G. Lapre; and two great-granddaughters, Tayler Green and Sydney Green. Shirley retired from Brooks Drug warehouse in 1992 after approximately 20 years and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Raymond’s Church, North Main Street, Providence, RI. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
